In the midst of a fundraising period that lasted over a decade, the Wooden Family Fieldhouse that will be the crown jewel of Athletes in Action's Sports Complex in Xenia, Ohio is prepared to open Fall 2024. The facility will be 65,000 square feet in size, joining the Sports Performance Center, 6 outdoor fully synthetic turf fields, and high//low ropes challenge course already on site. The center plans to have three full size basketball courts, an enclosed turf field, and an indoor adventure course, which will greatly expand AIA's reach locally and globally. Additionally, the entryway to the building will be a tribute to Coach John Wooden, the namesake of the building and legendary UCLA figure. The Fieldhouse is expected to triple AIA's already impressive yearly traffic, from 100,000 visitors annually to 300,000. This center will also equip the organization to fully maximize all of its resources, and continue to work towards fulfillment of the vision statement to see a day where there will be a Christ follower on every team, in every sport, in every nation.

Coach John Wooden is generally regarded as the greatest college basketball coach of all time, and is the greatest coach of any kind in many's eyes. During his 27 year run at UCLA, Wooden won a still unmatched 10 NCAA championships, with 7 of those 10 coming consecutively. He amassed 620 wins with just 147 losses throughout his tenure with the Bruins, reaching the NCAA tournament 16 times, with his team competing in the Final 4 in 12 of those seasons. Along with his massive success on the court, Wooden was incredibly passionate about using the vehicle of basketball to teach young men about the game of life. His "Pyramid of Success" was instilled in each of his UCLA teams, and is used widely across the sports, business, and education worlds to this day. Wooden also wrote several award winning books on his philosophy of both coaching and approaching everyday affairs. Wooden was a strong supporter of AIA, lending his name to both this facility and the Final 4 Breakfast now held yearly.

One of the many purposes for this facility will be to serve as the home court and daily practice facility for AIA Prep Academy. The state of the art space will provide an elite location for the athletes to sharpen their game, body, and mind, while also learning about the legendary man whose name the building bears.
